The Music Center of Kirkwood began over fifty years ago as The Mel Bay Music Center, founded by the legendary Mel Bay. The Music Center's primary goal is music education. We have everything our customers need to pursue their musical passions and interests. Our knowledgeable staff is here to help guide you whether you are learning an instrument or wanting to advance on one that you are already playing!
At the Music Center of Kirkwood you will find a wide variety of instruments for sale and rent. Instruments in stock include:Yamaha, Fender, Selmer, Ludwig, Conn, Bach, Alvarez and many more. We also have all the accessories you need to support your instrument, as well as one of the largest selections of sheet music in the Midwest.
In addition, we also have a state-of-the-art repair department right here in the store. Our repair technicians have years of experience, and they use a wide variety of high quality tools--including our 90-gallon ultrasonic cleaning tank--to offer you the best repair job available in St. Louis.
